sorry, we're positive about the fact that downloads done using the "whole directory" command are NOT taken into account.

we tried 2 days ago with another page on another page, and NO download shows today.

so again, we ask : will it be fixed ?

thanks a lot.

The updating is rather irregular, but can you tell me whether the single/full directory downloads were from the same IP address? You can download the same file a thousand times from the same address within a 24-hour period and it will only count as one download.

thanks for the info. yes the dowloads were from the same ip.

i didnt know that the updating was irregular. it seems to take a lot more time when downloading using the whole directory command than when dowloading a single file.

could weeks be regarded as a normal delay ?

we're sorry to have to insist but :
-in our experience, file per file downloads show the next day in the counter.
- a download made using "the whole directory" command done 4 days ago, still doesnt show.
- for other directories, it seems that downloads done using the whole directory command still arent taken into account more than 10 days after...

so we need to know : are they ever taken into account ? can we expect them to be at least counted every month ?

the archive site is useless to us if we cannot know how many times the files are downloaded. and almost all of our files are downloaded using the "whole directory" command...

A very, VERY late update on this...I've managed to confirm with the engineers that this is correct. It's not exactly clear why, but it's been noted and should be in line for a fix. :)
